Essential Functions Of The Position
- Responsible for compiling and delivering all necessary reports and deliverables to your supervisor.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the splicing lab and equipment and conduct regular inspections and calibrations to keep equipment up to date.
- Splice fiber optic or coaxial cable strands precisely to ensure seamless connectivity and minimal signal loss.
- Terminate cables by attaching connectors to the ends of fiber optic cables, ensuring proper connectivity and signal transmission.
- Conduct tests to verify the integrity and quality of spliced fibers, troubleshoot connectivity issues and identify faults in the network.
- Maintain accurate records of all splicing and termination activities, including cable routes, splice locations, and test results, to facilitate future maintenance and repairs.
- Strictly adhere to safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaborate with technicians and project managers to coordinate installation and maintenance activities effectively.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the splicing lab and equipment and conduct regular inspections and calibrations to keep equipment up to date.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds
- Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Travel is required
- Verifiable business references are required
